Carla Noronha produces works exploring the notion of home. Moving to the UK from Portugal when she was five years old left her confused and disconnected from her original background. 

Carla plays with the concept of distorted memories of the environment we inhabit. She explores the relationship between our surroundings and our mental health through her work: mundane and familiar objects of our everyday space helping us feel comfortable and safe. She incorporates a collage of ‘things’ curated abstractly on the canvas, where shape and colour intertwine to portray an unrealistic scene.
