KATE FLORENCE

Kate is a UK-trained artist with a BA in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art.She spent a year in Milan studying traditional painting and contemporary video art & sculptural installation before graduating in 2015.She moved to Melbourne From the UK in 2018 To pursue her art practice. She is now painting full time on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.Since Kates debut sell out show in Sydney with Saint cloche in 2021, She has since exhibited with many Australian galleries including solo shows atMARFA Gallery, Rainbow studios and Michael Reid.

Kate continuously works within the constraints of familiar female forms, exploring the depths of the human existence in its many forms.A marriage of classical and abstract. Kate works in an intuitive process, creating conversation through colour and forms, her expressiveness is revealed through fluid application of paint, her focus tuned into the emotive response of colour.
