KATIE MOORE

Katie is an artist and designer with a background in illustration. 

She recently completed her Masters in Design (Ceramics) at Bath School of Art and Design. Katie moved to Bath to develop her creative practice and deepen her understanding of ceramics. Her love of clay was cultivated through various ceramics classes and studios, during her time living and working in London. 

In order to curate her work space, Katie takes on the role of theatre director. Her stage designs are an extension of her studio whilst also channelling the techniques of a chosen artist.

Clay is an integral part of her practice. She refers to the process of making with clay as the theatre 'interval’, a time where she am able to think, reflect and pause away from the colourful stage. Katie’s clay objects are then props which she directs within her theatre.

Katie documents the creation of her theatre through video. ‘Film-making has become a way for me to invite an audience 'backstage'.
