Mimi Kerpel

Mimi Kerpel (b. 1994, Colombia) is a London based artist, using traditional weaving and basketry techniques to create textiles, objects, and sculptural forms. Exploring the intersection between craft and design, her practice focuses on texture, the use of natural materials and hand-crafted processes.

Mimi graduated with a BA (Hons) in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Arts specialising in weave. Since then, she has honed her craft in various basketry courses. Her work has been exhibited internationally in England, China and Mexico.
