Morgan is a contemporary artist and designer currently based in Leicester, UK. She graduated in 2018 with a First Class BA (Honours) Degree in Design Crafts specialising in Glass from De Montfort University.
Birmingham’s architectural, industrial and manufacturing heritage has informed her work both conceptually and aesthetically. Her great great grandfather was a glassblower for Chance Brothers Glassworks, once a leading glass manufacturer and a pioneer of British glassmaking technology in Smethwick, Birmingham. She is actively investigating her personal heritage within Birmingham as well as her grandparents' histories with the materials that they share a passion for and how this influences her practice. This has inspired her to embrace the art of the historical craftsmanship in a contemporary way that focuses on design as well as process.
