SOFIA TUFVASSON

After spending 20 years as a graphic designer, Sofia Tufvasson began working with clay, a long-term inspiration of hers. This led to the creation of the home-grown ceramic brand Tufva Design from her studio in Stockholm, bringing handmade, stand-alone objects of sculptural and functional nature to life.

Sofia believes working with clay creates an invitingly warm and alive feeling and that the material often has a mind of its own. This interplay between soft shapes and graphic rigidity brings her background in graphic design forward with each charming piece.
