THEO BARDSLEY 

Theo is a self-taught painter working in London, whose large scale, colourful works portray the city around him from his perspective within the environment of my daily life. His images are just as likely to depict self portraiture, people close to him, or stories he has been told whilst sat at the bar at the pub.

His background in art is primarily art historical which has heavily shaped him, drawing influence from his studies, but placing these ideas within the context of his own life. He aims to merge the current with the historical, building up textured layers over the canvas, hoping to allow the viewers to associate the paintings with a certain point in their own life, and in turn transport them back to that moment.
